Field reporting when the signal drops

Tank farms, plant basements, and remote sites all have poor coverage. How to keep technicians from losing work.

The real risk

The risk isn't that technicians can't submit. It's that they lose an hour of readings when a browser tab closes or the connection drops mid-save.

Habits that help

  • Open the job while you still have signal, before walking out to the asset.
  • Enter readings section by section instead of all at the end.
  • Check that the form says 'Saved on device' before closing it.
  • Sync as soon as you're back in coverage, before leaving site.

How NDT Pilot handles it

Every change is saved on the device first and synced automatically when the connection returns. The form shows whether you're offline, saved on the device, or synced.
